Muskegon County Wastewater Waterfowl is coming up soon.

Ready for a good day hunting?

It looks like the Muskegon County Wastewater will be full of ducks for the Muskegon County Wastewater managed waterfowl hunt.

The County wastewater consist of 3,500 acres of agriculture habitat with opportunities to harvest both ducks and geese. Along with the hunting opportunities that exist at the Muskegon County Wastewater you may also do tours of the area to view wildlife along with different species of migratory birds. The lagoons on the site attract a wide variety of waterfowl species, including up to 12,000 ruddy ducks and over 5,000 Northern Shovelers. Both counts are among the highest recorded for these species in Michigan.

Please call the DNR at the Muskegon State Game Area at
231-788-5055 for information on the opening date at the
Wastewater.
This hunt is by DRAWING ONLY

Parties (2-4 people per party) should be at the Muskegon SGA Headquarters at 5:30 a.m. (local time) for
the morning hunt and 11:00 a.m. for the afternoon hunt for a drawing to determine the order for each party to pick hunting locations; after the initial drawing vacant areas will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Single individuals will be allowed to hunt after all parties have been taken care of and space is still available.

This is what I saw at the site on Sunday October 13th.

Good Luck Hunters.
