Dragonflies of course...
Yesterday I had the chance to walk around Muskegon's Veterans Memorial Park at the Causway
Not only is it in the process of being restored to it's former grandeur it is still beautiful.
As a lover of nature and especially dragonflies I am always on the lookout for those shimmery beauties, but that day I was in for a real treat, something I had never seen before, a dragonfly newly
emerged from the nymph stage and still drying off into its fully winged dragonfly body.
Below you can see the nymph casing it lived under water in for sometimes up to 4 years and the new dragonfly breathing life into it's wings and body for the final few months of it's life.
Ok I know nature is more than dragonflies.
The little tree frogs below are about the size of a dime or smaller, they change color after about being in one place for about half an hour, the brown ones just came up from the edge of the water in the ditch to the milkweed or some are on blades of grass.
