Today I got lucky and saw 5 owls roosting, 4 pictures, 5 owls.

4 & 5

I also saw eagles today, bald eagles and golden eagles.
Golden Eagle sitting on the ice.
As I watched he took off...........

 Skimming across the ice.

Found throughout the Northern Hemisphere, the Golden Eagle is common in western North America, but rare in the East.
It is one of the largest birds of prey in North America.
Here is a Golden and a Bald Eagle in the same tree.

 As they took off together.
 Another Golden in the tree.

Another Golden joined the first one in the tree.

I never get tired of seeing these majestic birds.

Susie,
I just thought I would let you know, the "golden's" are in actuality immature Bald Eagles. The one's in the trees look younger than the one on the ice, as you can see the head and tail feathers are changing on the "ice" Bird -- I'd say that one is about 2 1/2 yrs. old or so, where as the others are probably first years, but none (sorry) are a Golden Eagle. :(
