Snowy Day for Short Eared Owls

 Yesterday (1-11-2011) I saw owls on the ground for the first time, I thought they might have been horned owls, but Rick, who is the person to go to for identifying, says he thinks they are more of the short eared owls. They were so camouflaged that I was sitting in front of one and didn't see it for a long time, it must have moved and caught my eye, after I saw that one I saw another, know I will look even harder to spot those on the ground the next time.

I went back the next day to find them in the sunshine, but they were hard for me to see, check out Rick's "Owls and more in the middle of the day", he didn't have any trouble finding them.
